I am a Biotechnologist and a Ph.D. Candidate in Biotechnology at the University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, and currently doing a Ph.D. Exchange at NASA Ames Research Center, California, USA. At my Ph.D. I am working with Astrobiology by studying an extremophilic eukaryotic microalgae resistance to extreme Martian conditions aiming to apply it as a living technology for Mars exploration.
